A walk in the autumn tint of the Tamako lake
Today I went to take a walk around the Tamako lake near my parents' house with my parents and my three sons. Fine day and beautiful red leaf in the tint of autumn, it was autumn of Japan exactly.

I saw many family visiting the Shinto shrine on the banks of the lake with small kids because today is just on the season of a Japanese traditional festival 'Shichi-go-san'. Helped by fine weather and beautiful sunshine, I hope they have taken nice souvenir picture.
My parents and my eldest and second sons had come to the lake by bike so they had to climb a acclivity that is next to the shrine. My third son and I walked up on a large wooden staircase on the side of the embankment.
Left photo shows a scenery on the embankment. The road over the embankment is maintained to the wide clean sidewalk. A large reservoir filled with water gives us a great view. You can see the roller coaster and Ferris wheel of the amusement park "Seibuen".
Several benches have been installed on the sidewalk so people can relax viewing the lake. Hobby photographers, families with kids and dogs and cyclists are often seen.

The Yakebe pond ( alias Tacchan-ike pond )
There is the park called "Sayama-koen" down across the embankment. The park has some playground equipments such as a slide and sandbox and some large wooden benches and is fitted for families picnicking with small kids. Usually full of small children.
There is a small pond called "Tacchan-ike" on the side in the trees of the park. The pond itself and trees round the pond are so beautiful that many people sketch, take photos and view it.
Walking up a stroll road on the side of the pond, you will find the park called "Taiyo-hiroba" on the middle of acclivity. Children plays a catch, soccer, Frisbee and bicycle.
A side of the park is full of big trees growing in the forest. I guessed elementary school boy could climb those trees. My sons challenged. Finally my second son could climb higher than other. He seemed to not be afraid of height.
